Instructional development is an iterative process that should be constantly reviewed and refined to ensure the learner's needs is met.

1. Analysis of the environment, learner and tasks

2. Designing a plan for developing instruction

3. Development of the instructional activities

4. Implementation of the design

5. Evaluation of learner performance and effectiveness of the design.

NOTE: We will cover only the analysis and designing parts in this guide, with a cursory reference to evaluation.
